biography

Laura Caldow is a creative arts professional with over 20 years' experience in performance, making and producing. Working across dance, theatre and opera, Laura has collaborated with artists including Deborah Warner, Mike Figgis, William Tuckett, Kim Brandstrup, Aletta Collins, Javier De Frutos, Club Guy and Roni and Blind Summit Theatre. As a performer she has appeared at Sadlers Wells, The Barbican, The Royal Opera House, The National Theatre, The Old Vic, BAM NYC, The Opera Comique Paris, Salzburg Festival and the Hollywood Bowl, LA. She created roles in Olivier Award Best Dance Production ‘Goldberg – A Brandstrup/Rojo Project’ at the Royal Opera House and Fringe First Award winning ‘Citizen Puppet’ for Blind Summit at Edinburgh, as well as appearing with the Royal Ballet in Tuckett’s Elizabeth, with Carlos Acosta and Zenaida Yanowsky. She has choreographed for Glyndebourne, Brighton Festival, The Tiger Lillies, Roman River Festival, Milan Fashion Week and Mahogany Opera. Laura trained at the Central School of Ballet in London and the Merce Cunningham Studio in New York.  She was awarded the first Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award for Dance and is currently an Executive MBA candidate at Bayes Business School, City University.
